OUR STORY
Bacchus – the Greco-Roman god of wine. Could a grape be better named? It thrives in the cool- climate vineyards of England, where it has become a ‘signature variety’. Aldwick‘s Bacchus vines overlook the Farm’s graceful descent southwards to the River Yeo and the magnificent rise of the Mendip Hills beyond. What’s in a name? In Greek mythology the god of the grape harvest and winemaking was best known as Dionysus, from which Dennis – a family forename for three generations – is derived.
